Redbrick Communication has released its latest update on how local governments in Ontario are using social and digital media. The update contains a number of interesting findings about how municipalities are making use of a variety of social media platforms, and becoming increasingly creative and sophisticated in their online engagement. Most notable amongst the findings, social media use by Ontario municipalities has grown by 11 times in the past five years. According to the study 68% of municipalities are using some form of social media, with uptake the greatest in larger municipalities. For more, you can find the full findings here.
